Hi, my name is Timothy Thomas and I'm officially announcing my candidacy for the upcoming June 1st election and I'm here to ask for your support and vote to serve you all and our ranch as a board member. I'm passionate about protecting and preserving our member rights and returning all power including requiring member approval for any bylaw changes back to the members. Members have a right to be informed and must be provided an opportunity to speak about any matter before the board makes a decision or takes any vote (including notarizing and publishing "new" bylaws). I'm passionate about educating others in matters involving civics and teaching everyone about their rights. My recent work history includes being a part-time firearm instructor and part-time private investigator. I believe every board member has a fiduciary duty to go through a new board member training boot camp to learn their role and responsibilities. It's much easier to follow the Arizona open meeting law once you take the time to learn what it says. Every member also has a responsibility to learn their rights. I'm passionate about working smarter instead of harder but also understand sometimes things move at the speed of local government. Some of my recent accomplishments include Navajo County recently started judicial hearings for any code enforcement violations to handle complaints, especially from trashy neighbors on the ranch. Granted, it took them 3 years, 4 inspectors, and 2 directors to start to follow the policies stated in the county code, but the mechanisms are now in place to handle future issues.

My campaign promise is simple. Assist the board to operate in a legal, moral, and ethical manner while protecting and preserving member rights. We don't want our community to go into receivership so it's important members step up to serve our community in this time of need. So go ahead in this space and ask me anything.
