Update on our Forever Home
Well, we still don't have our house yet. Delay after delay. It is however, completed and sitting on the CAVCO lot in Phoenix. We went by a few weeks ago and "snuck" in to take a look at it. We were very please with what we saw. They were still in the process of finishing up a couple of things and were waiting on a shower door.
We finally had our contractors out here for the pre slab work. They were here two different days. One to clear and stake out and the other to add cinders, finish the footers and add rebar. The next day Mr. Inspector came by and failed the work. He says, the footers are not 18" deep all the way around, which is code. Our contractor knew that so......it's on him and he needs to come back. More delay for the concrete. Apparently 10 trucks at one time is hard to come by up here and there are lots of people building.
At least now though we can look out the back window of our RV and see the footprint of our home...whenever it happens to show up. Maybe this week...However, if the slab is not done, they will have to set the two pieces off to the side and wait to set it up.

We will need police escorts for the route from Payson up to Hutch. Wherever there is undivided highway, it is required. That is a scheduling issue as well with the transporters. Its all good though...we have the time. Our final move in date is a ways in the future. We have a ton of work to do on the inside. Painting, flooring, and lots of other little stuff.
If anybody gets excited seeing something new coming into the ranch - we will let you know here on the message board when it will be coming in from 377.
