Please be Respectful

This message is from Holly Cox

Yesterday I resigned my position as a Board Member for our POA. I greatly appreciate the faith that most of you put in me to reelect me to this position, but the uncalled for attacks by a few people has become so out of control that I cannot remain in this role and be effective or professional. This note is a plea for all of you to be respectful of the remaining Board members. None of them are (as we have recently been accused) liars, cheats or, quite recently, lazy. The toxic attitude has to end.

I'd also like to put to rest a few misconceptions

  • No one volunteers for this role unless they care a great deal about the community.

  • No one can benefit financially from this role. There are many checks and balances in place to prevent that.

  • People who do not live full time at the ranch are not "Outsiders". Brian and I have owned our property for 14 years and have had tremendous experiences, met wonderful neighbors and have made incredible memories there with our children and grandchildren.

  • Your concerns and ideas are always welcome. If you disagree with decisions, you should never hesitate to voice them. But make them actionable. In all the time I have served on the Board, most of the concerns have been vague implications that we are doing a terrible job, but when asked for specific examples, or proposals on what to change, we never get anything concrete.

I wish only the best for the Ranch and the future of the POA.
