Well Upgrades
The Board authorized an expenditure to upgrade both well sites to solar wellheads last year. It was my understanding the work would begin April 1st. The idea was it would provide a cost savings for the ownership in propane delivery and generator maintenance costs for the ownership. Naturally my dumb ass assumed the Board contracted a contractor to do these upgrades.
The pictures below were provided to me by other property owners at Well 2. First and foremost, if this work was provided by a licensed contractor, their license should be permanently revoked by the ROC. There are numerous code violations per the NEC NFPA 70. Secondly that installation now became a money pit for the ownership. Pack rats love to chew up wiring, trip hazards for man and beast alike, very high potential for vandalism and or theft.
Why wasn’t the solar arrays installed behind chain link fencing? Why were they installed in front of the well house service gate? And why so many panels on non-permanent pads?
