We purchased our property on our anniversary in 2012. It was to be our own private campground. No worrying about finding a spot, or trying to schedule something months in advance. For a few years, that's all it was. After a while, we decided our "camp ground" would be better located at the high point of our property. So we moved our 16x16 deck with a tractor and trailer, our water tank, our rv and anything else we had at the first location.

Today, we are at the highest point on our property and have been for about 6 years now. About 3 years ago, we decided, this would be our retirement home. We started working on our infrastructure for what we would need. A year ago, we ordered our manufactured home. A double wide made by CAVCO.

Finally, it is scheduled to be delivered......NEXT WEEK!! . This is huge for us. This is our new home. Full timers starting September 2023. Until then, we have much work to do to get everything ready for full time living here.

We have sold our home in the valley and will be renting it back until next September. Figuratively we have "Pulled the Plug" and there is no way back. Everything we have now, tomorrow, and the future is invested right here at Chevelon Canyon Ranch.

We want to be "good" community members. We are not very social and are kind of homebodies that enjoy each other's company. If you need something, and think we can help, give us a call or note on our fence or whatever. Some of you have our contact information. Because of life.....and lessons learned, we have become very selective of those we welcome into our close circle of friends. This is our forever home so we want to make sure it stays calm and peaceful for us.
