Windy Ridge is a really GOOD NAME TODAY!
We named our home up here Windy Ridge. Today, we are here in our 5th wheel which faces North/South on the long sides. As you know, if you are here today, the wind is coming out of the south to south/west.
We have a wifi weather station here, that monitors the wind speeds. Today has been pretty steady 35 to 40 with up to almost 80 mph gusts. Yesterday, we were out and about, and when we got back there was a 96mph wind gust measured. Holy Moly! Since we are not up here full time, I want to ask, if this is fairly normal or frequent to have the wind we are having today.
Our RV is rocking and rolling, and not in the way "If the camper is a rockin, don't come a knockin!". Nope, we are being bounced around by mother nature today. I did some quick research and we should be good up to 100 mph or so. Keep your eyes out today for a 5th wheel flying by.
