Recent Monsoons and Road Damage
The roads from 377 (Hutch) and into CCR never looked better....up until about a week ago. Monsoons have really taken a toll on some areas of our roads. I don't know if contacting the Navajo County Public Works will help, but I am trying. The area before and after Seymour's crossing is nearly washed out in sections. There are some "ruts" that are nearly a foot deep. Drive slowly to make sure you can slow down before you hit these.
We have been anticipating the delivery of our Manufactured home since the beginning of July. Our entire plan of building was based on a delivery date before the monsoons. Thanks to a delay from the Factory of some backordered pieces, and then a Transporter that got in a tiff with the builder, we still have no home.
Now with the roads the way they are who knows when it will be delivered. We had the entire month of July when the roads were in A+ condition. Now, I would say, they barely meet a D in some spots.
Dark Canyon - has held up fairly well except for a south running section on the way up the hill.. Rim Top has a small lake in it, just past the old Lee Lake. River Run, is gutted and rutted. Squaw Tank is in pretty bad shape. I haven't been down Ellwood, but I would imagine in the past couple of days it has gotten some damage and small lakes.
God Bless the road crew, as you have quite a task at hand. The roads I mentioned are some of the ranches primary roads in and out and to the wells. I hope the county and our CCR crew can get to them sooner rather than later..
In the meantime, our home, is sitting down in Phoenix in a transporters storage lot. We have our concrete pad done so we just sit in our RV longingly wishing our house was on it. It's been a full year since we originally ordered the home.

Did you get your house delivered
